McLean, Virginia
This is a very attractive city, the inventory of houses for sale provides options for buyers with stately interests in a home. You will definitely get your money’s worth if you are looking for a long-term investment or a permanent place to settle down. The city is clean and subdivisions are meticulously maintained by its residents. The city has quite a few governmental agencies headquartered or branched within the local area. There are many places to enjoy fine dining and enjoy shopping as malls and outlets are within a short drive time around the area. As one of my favorite cities, I definitely recommend pursuing real estate investing there.
Destin, Fl / Miramar Beach, Fl
In my opinion, Destin, Florida is very attractive as it has a quiet appeal to it as well as exciting active areas. The city is filled with things to do. The average price of real estate is affordable if you are in the middle class. The parcels in most neighborhoods have a decent amount of lot footage, this is good for expansion of the improvement or just for enjoying the yardage. The city is also known for having condos for sale. A perk about this is that with some condo sales, the furniture is included which is usually very nice and updated. Average price is under $500k. Miramar Beach, Fl is pretty much a tourist area with members of a retirement community. This is a good indication for investors interested in renting or flipping. Overall the beautiful scenery will uphold value for an investment. I definitely recommend this city and surrounding areas.
New York City
New York City pretty much speaks for itself. Outside of the crime issues in certain areas, the opportunities it offers for asset value in ideal areas is what's unique about it. The reputation it has developed in particular areas can offer buyers a lucrative advantage. It helps if you can afford the high end expense to reap the benefits the city has to offer. However, you have to be savvy via savings, investments and looking for opportunities. This can open the door to the value the city holds if you cannot afford it.
Miami, Florida
The popular city of Miami, Florida is quite an attractive city. Take advantage of areas that highlight it's features to consider obtaining value for your real estate investment. I personally like promoting choosing safe locations and once again I recommend neighborhoodscout.com to review crime statics of the area. Depending on your budget, the Ocean Drive area is a good location and parts of midtown Miami. Coral Gables and surrounding areas are nice. Fisher Island is an ideal place to purchase luxury estates and includes privacy and security on the island. Miami is known for its high living and fast paced environment, but it also has quiet and reserved areas that are peaceful and enjoyable. I recommend this city for real estate investing that will give your estate value.
Mobile, AL
As this is where I will be hosting my first workshop, I'd like to highlight some interesting points about Mobile, Al. The city has quite a few attractions and events such as the Senior Bowl for football fans, the city is famous for its tourist attraction, the USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park. For summertime events you can enjoy the Watermelon Festival, the Annual Bay Music Festival, and the Gulf Coast Ethnic Heritage Jazz Festival just to name a few. The city has a southern charm to it that offers a relaxed living environment if the fast paced cities are not for you. The cost of living is modest and I find that residential neighborhoods are well maintained by the locals which is a plus. New construction is up and coming in the area as well. This is a city you may want to checkout.
Washington, D.C.
The D.C. area of course is an important point of interest in the USA. As it can be viewed as a tourist area, there are hidden attributes around the city that can add value to your real estate investment. Depending on your interest in housing types there are a variety of condos, townhomes and new construction options. The Arlington, Va area which is close by, offers nice homes in established neighborhoods that retain their aesthetic value. Tyson Corner, Va and the Foggy Bottom areas are attractive as well, in which new construction development is expanding. These areas have quiet communities as well as access to shopping and fine dining. If you are into condos the Foggy Bottom area is a good place to start. One drawback is certain areas of Washington, DC have crime issues, once again I recommend choosing safe neighborhoods, as selecting the right area can affect the value of your investment. I recommend this city if you want to retain value for your real estate investment.
